 NOLAbounders get to listen to Growth Industry Panel on the ‘new’ New Orleans. I hope I don’t become the cynic I so love and cherish by working in Hollywood.  These are the NOLAbounders. The opinions which come out of this adventure will shape thoughts about the ‘new’ New Orleans.  Robbie Vitrano follows Michael Hecht of Greater New Orleans, Inc. to sell NOLAbounders on a ‘new’ New Orleans. It’s all about the culture before business.  The City of New Orleans’ own NBA team the Hornets hosted the NOLAbounders last night to see what a professional sports franchise brings to the city. The speech given by team president Hugh Weber was unlike any other sport franchise history’s — save for one — the Saints. I have seen an enthusiasm in New Orleans which contradicts my thoughts and instincts. And I grew up here. Time to find out more.
